PURPOSE:To facilitate forming and to reduce shrinkage at the time of burning by using the slurry prepared by adding water decreasing agent and water to a power mixture consisting of portland cement and an inorganic matter to be pottery raw material. CONSTITUTION:A slurry is prepared by adding water-reducing agent and water to a powder mixture consisting of portland cement and a powder of organic matter to be pottery raw material. Subsequently, this slurry is poured into a mold and formed by means of hardening by hydration, and further, the resulting formed body is dried and burned, by which a pottery is obtained. By this method, shrinkage factor at the time of burning is reduced because the clay ordinarily used as an essential component and containing large amounts of water of crystallization is not used, and, as a result, a product having high dimensional accuracy can be obtained. Further, although there are no particular restrictions on the type of the powdered inorganic powder that can be used, those minimal in free water and crystal water are preferred and, to be concrete, it is desirable to use feldspar. |
