PURPOSE:To satisfactorily hold the secrecy of data by preventing the retrieval and update of customer information from being disabled by a card accident by retrieving and updating the customer information on a storage device in the internal part of a customer information retrieving device. CONSTITUTION:During the transaction of one customer, an operator inputs a customer identification number displayed on a presented customer card by a keyboard 13. With the inputted customer identification number as a key, an electronic computer 11 reads the data of a storage device 12. Next, the operator inputs a deposit amount from the customer by the keyboard 13. The electronic computer 11 calculate change by subtracting a total amount, which is calculated in advance, from the inputted deposit amount, displays the change on a display 14 and outputs the change to a printer 16. The electronic computer 11 updates the data corresponding to the customer identification number inputted in advance at a rate corresponding to the total amount and outputs the result of the processing from the printer 16 and the transaction of one customer is finished. Thus, there is no trouble that the customer information can not be retrieved and updated by the accident of the customer card, and the secrecy of the data is satisfactorily held as well. |
