PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive ink jet type multi-color printer having a simple mechanism in which desired inks from plural ink tanks are selectively supplied to a single printing head. CONSTITUTION:Inks of desired colors are supplied through respective ink tubes 4, 5, and 6 from plural ink tansk 7, 8, and 9 while being selected by a rotary valve 18 (with a receiver 17) onto a printing head installed on a carrier 11 sliding in the direction of printing along a shaft 12, and the inks are jetted in comply to a printing signal for a printing signal for a multi-color printing. When switching the colors of ink, the forward ink staying in a nozzle 1 is injected into a gutter for recovery. |
