PURPOSE:To simplify the connecting work and also to raise the reliability, by constituting a tail cable by storing in the lump cores of a submarine optical cable, in a pressure resisting pipe, also constituting input/output optical fiber cores to a submarine optical repeater, in the same way, and connecting them with a connector provided in a pressure resisting sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A tail cable is constituted by storing in the lump cores 11 from a submarine optical cable in a pressure resisting pipe 14, in the end part, and cores from a repeater are stored in the lump in a pressure resisting pipe 14'. A connector sleeve 23 is also put into a pressure resisting sleeve 22, cores mounted to the end part of the cores 11 are inserted from both the ends, and the cores are butted and connected. In this case, the pressure resisting pipes 14, 14' are also inserted into the pressure resisting sleeve 22 from both the sides, and are mutually sealed. |
