To brighten exhaust gas plaster from wet exhaust gas desulphering assemblies by thickening in a hydrocyclone, and the overflow is passed back through a washing cycle while the thickened plaster and washing fluid are sepd., the under flow from the hydrocyclone is passed to a flotation stage. The exhaust gas crystals are sepd. from the strongly discoloured impurities, partic. flue coke particles. ADVANTAGE - The method converts the plaster waste into a usable prod. for construction applications or as a material for fillers.
