PURPOSE: To reduce the cost by forming part of a latent heat storage device which receives the action of a medium with an alloy of oxygen-free copper and at least one kind selected from a group comprising nickel, chrome, and phosphorus. CONSTITUTION: A latent heat storage apparatus includes a composition containing barium hydroxide octahydrate, as a heat storage medium contained in a heat storage core located adjacent to at least one flow passage for a heat sending fluid. At least part of the latent heat storage device undergoing the action of the heat storage medium comprises only oxygen-free copper or an alloy of at least one kind selected from a group comprising nickel, chrome, and phosphorus and oxygen-free copper. This material is used, and the device can be manufactured more inexpensively than the case of stainless steel. In that case, a material for an enclosing material has resistance in Ba(OH)2 .8H2 O. For coupling a part comprising an alloy of oxygen-free copper with a composition of one or more among the foregoing group, there is provided a brazed coupler using a brazed spelter material containing one kind or more among copper, silver, phosphorus, and nickel.
