Clamping system for circuit plates in housing - has threaded elements moved by screw bar to clamp against housing

A printed circuit board (11) has an edge connector (13) and locates in the slots (12) of a housing formed by aluminium plates (10). Mounted at the top and bottom edges of the plates are clamping elements that secure the unit in position with good contact for efficient heat transfer. The clamping elements consists of a bar (1) that has tapered edges (2, 3) that locate against blocks (4, 5). A thread screw (6) is turned by a tool and causes relative movement of the bar along the angled surface of the blocks to apply a clamping force to the plates. ADVANTAGE - Secures plates in position in housing.
