The advertising and information display contains an electronic moving text visual display (10) in a box-shaped housing with a film-like printable information carrier on a roller system (15). The roller-tape system has a plastics foil printed with advertisements as its information carrier. The foil can be moved forwards and backwards by motor drives and held in selected positions by stoppers. The moving text display contains an electronic information memory.
