<p>PURPOSE:To use an inexpensive motor as the motor for a driving source by making a frictional transmission mechanism to be interposably inserted into a driving system for a take-up reel freely interposable and detachable and obtaining a different tape traveling speed depending upon the presence of the interposable insertion of the frictional transmission mechanism. CONSTITUTION:At the time of normal traveling of a tape under recording and/or reproducing, a pinch roller is pressed against a capstan 19, and a speed change gear mechanism 100, 101 and 106 is changed for a large reduction ratio. And, the frictional transmission mechanism 81 is interposably inserted into a transmission path from the driving source to a take-up reel base 7, and a tape tension regulator is brought under the operation state by making unworkable condition of a soft brake 66. Next, at the time of high speed traveling of the tape, the pinch roller is separated from the capstan 19, and the speed change gear mechanism is changed for a small reduction gear ratio, and then the mechanism 81 is made not to be interposably inserted into the aforementioned transmission path, whereas the brake 66 is put under the operation state so as to bring the tension regulator under the unworkable condition. Then, at the time of medium high speed traveling of the tape, the pinch roller is separated from the capstan 19, and the speed change gear mechanism is changed for the large reduction ratio, so that the mechanism 81 is released from its interposable insertion.</p> |
