PURPOSE:To freely design a layout by bending the legs of a lead frame toward a light transmission part. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting diode element pellet 11 is secured to the surface of a lead frame 12, and its periphery is covered with a sheath package 14 of resin state. A light transmission part 15 made of a transparent material is provided on the package opposed to the light emitting face of the pellet 11, and legs 10 of the frame 12 are bent toward the part 15. As a result, even if an optical semiconductor element 21 for emitting a light and an optical semiconductor element 22 for photodetecting with similar structure are mounted via a through hole 24 in such a manner that the transmission parts are opposed on both faces of a circuit board 23 having the hole 24, layout design of an integrated circuit product for an optical communication can be conducted by using both faces of one circuit board since a signal can be transmitted by the use of light in a state that the two elements 21, 22 are respectively disposed on both sides of the board 23. |
