PURPOSE:To perform automatic analysis by using a reaction container holding a reagent capable of reacting with the specific component in a specimen and having an upper opening hermetically sealed by a sealing foil having the mark for showing the reagent displayed thereon. CONSTITUTION:A reaction container 12 is transferred in the direction shown by an arrow by a reaction container transfer apparatus 2 and the mark displayed on the sealing foil 16 of said container 12 is discriminated at an analytical item discriminating position by a video camera and the image output from the camera is sent to a control apparatus 10. Next, the foil 16 is torn at a seal tearing position D and a specimen is distributed at a distribution position B. The distribution amount of the specimen is controlled corresponding to the data from the camera by the control apparatus and a proper amount of the specimen is distributed corresponding to a specific component to be measured. After distribution, the container 12 is carried to a B/F separation position E and the conjugate present in the reaction solution in the container 12 in a liquid phase state is separated. Continuously, a substrate to enzyme is distributed at a substrate distribution position F and the signal appearing in relation to the specific component is measured at a photometric position G by a photometric apparatus 8. |
