The electronic ski locating system is equipped with a transmitting unit which has two transmitters, one transmitter on each ski, and with a receiving unit. The transmitter (1) is mounted in a housing (3), fastened to a ski (2) so that it can be removed, and is switched on when the housing is attached to the ski by the activation of a switching-on device (5, 6, 7). The receiving unit is tuned to one of the transmitting frequencies of the transmitters and can be combined with a headset and earphones. USE/ADVANTAGE - Transmitters work from the time they are put on, even when broken free of the feet. Suitable for skiers who have lost skis in deep snow.
