METHOD OF REGENERATING IMAGE INFORMATION OF VECTOR TYPE ON RASTER PATTERN AND DEVICE FOR REGENERATING IMAGE AND RASTER GENERATOR FOR USING SAID DEVICE

PURPOSE: To improve the image quality by not assigning such binaries to picture elements that picture elements separated from each other by picture elements more than a prescribed number of picture elements form an expansion part on the boundary of a reproduced image area and processing a correction value with respect to the error which is brought about by assigning binaries to picture elements subjected to preceding processing. CONSTITUTION: A binary is assigned to each picture element, which is traversed by the boundary line between image areas, in accordance with the sum of a ratio in which the picture element is divided by the boundary and the correction value calculated from the error brought about by assigning a binary to the picture element subjected to preceding processing, thereby continuously processing the picture elements in accordance with the boundary line. The correction value is processed with an avoidance function expressed by a formula I which avoids assignment of such binaries to picture elements that picture elements separated from each other by picture elements more than a prescribed number of picture elements form an expansion part on the boundary of a reproduced image area with respect to the error which is brought about by assigning binaries to picture elements subjected to preceding processing.
