PURPOSE:To enable a sanitary wash by adding to a washing machine a chlorine solution production apparatus for supplying an effective and dilute chlorine solution involving no risk of user's life and body and having the liquidity in the vicinity of an optimum pH of sterilization. CONSTITUTION:An washing machine is provided with an anode 1, an anion exchange membrane 2, cation exchange membrane 3, a cathode 4, an anode chamber 7 held between the anode 1 and anion exchange membrane 2, a sodium chloride chamber 7 held between the anion exchange membrane 2 and cation exchange membrane 3, a cathode chamber 8 held between the cation exchange membrane 3 and cathode 4, and a brine storage tank 10 connected with the sodium chloride chamber 7. Then, one of water paths diverging from a water tap is set as another route, another one of them passes through the anode chamber 6, still another one of them passes through the sodium chloride chamber 7 to unit water paths 11, a deaerator 12 is placed in the water path from the cathode chamber 8 to the junction with other water paths 11, and DC power is applied between the anode 1 and the cathode 4. Thus, the washing machine is constituted in such manner that water flows into the washing tub 13 of the washing machine after passing through the junction of the water paths 11 and the operation of the chlorine solution production apparatus and the water supply to the washing tub 13 are conducted at the time of the water supply for a rinsing process. |
