摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance wear resistance and to allow the use of a material having good workability by forming the thin film of an amorphous alloy which is not a ferromagnetic material by a physical vapor growth method on a tape sliding surface. CONSTITUTION:The thin film of the amorphous alloy which is not the ferromag netic material is formed by the physical vapor growth method on the tape sliding surface of a cylinder or guide pin, etc., which are magnetic tape sliding members. The amorphous alloy is adequately amorphous alloys of a tungsten or tantalum base and the thin film of the amorphous alloy is adequately the film having >=1,000 Vickers hardness. The wear resistance of the tape sliding surface of the above-mentioned tape sliding members is assured by the film of the hard amorphous alloy and the use of the relatively soft alloy as the cylinder material is possible.</p>
