PURPOSE: To manufacture a member in which a refractory material is surely joined with a reinforcing element by combining the refractory metallic material surrounding the metallic reinforcing element, consolidating them by a means such a rolling mill and forming them into the selected shape. CONSTITUTION: Plural constituents 12a, 12b of the refractory metallic material, are mixed in a hopper 18 to make the finely divided uniform mixed material 12c. If necessary, binder 12d, etc. is blended in this mixed material. The mixed material 12c and the reinforcing means 14 of a woven metallic wire steel, etc. are passed through one pair of rolls 24 to form an integrated member 10 having the selected shape by consolidating the refractory metallic material 12a, 12b surrounding the reinforcing element 14. Further, these materials are consolidated or fixedly integrated with a stamping device 30, etc. Successively, the materials are heated and thermally reacted to form the member 10 consisting of a prescribed refractory material. |
