PURPOSE:To restrain a temperature rise of an array of LEDs thereby to easily achieve printing at high speeds by securely fixing said array of LEDs to a common electrode on a Peltier element provided on a metallic plate via an insulating plate, said common electrode being composed of an insulative layer and a conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part is formed in a metallic plate 2. An insulative plate 4 is attached to the recessed part, and a Peltier element 5 is securely placed on the insulative plate 4. Moreover, a common electrode 7 composed of an insulative layer 9 and a conductive layer is formed on the Peltier element 5. A plurality of LEDs are fixedly aligned in one array on the common electrode 7 by a conductive adhering agent. This array 1 of LEDs is connected to a wiring pattern 3 on a wiring substrate 6 attached to the metallic plate 2 through wire bonding. Accordingly, the Peltier element removes the heat generated by the array of LEDs, whereby the temperature rise of the array of LEDs can be restricted to be small. Consequently, the decrease in the light generating amount is restrained and high-speed printing can be achieved. |
