<p>PURPOSE:To detect document size automatically without being affected by disturbing light by lowering sensor sensitivity and detecting the document size even in a state wherein a document presser can not be closed. CONSTITUTION:A limit switch 3 which detects the opening/closing state of the document pressure map, a document size detection sensor 7 which detects the size of a document on a document platen, a copy start switch on a console panel 8, etc., are connected to a control unit 9 and the document size is detected from the output state of the sensor 7. The sensitivity of the sensor 7 is lowered when the document pressure map is opened and increased when the pressure map is closed. While the sensitivity of the sensor 7 is lowered, the document size is detected automatically almost without being affected by the disturbing light nor operator's hands and when the document presser is closed, the sensitivity of the sensor 7 is increased to increase the detection accuracy to the document size.</p> |
