A valve arrangement for the controlled supply of a working space, for example of a control member of a power shift transmission, with hydraulic fluid is described, having a control valve via which the supply line leading to the working space can be acted upon by system pressure or can be relieved to a lower pressure level, such as, for example, to the tank. The control valve is designed as a continuously adjustable directional control valve or servo valve, the valve spool of which can be held in a regulating position by the force of a regulating spring against the force of the pressure in the supply line. In this way, a multi-function valve is created which not only serves as a control valve for engaging or disengaging a hydraulic unit but at the same time can be used as a pressure-regulating valve.
