An injection valve with an electrodynamic actuating device (1, 2, 3), comprising a tappet (3), movable under the effect of the force of a permanent magnetic field on an actuating coil (2) with an excitation current flowing through it and causing a valve to open or close, and a return spring (5) with a spring constant, which produces a small return force in relation to the actuating force to be generated and essentially has no influence on the dynamic behaviour of the injection valve, which return spring (5) keeps the injection valve closed in the currentless state of the actuating coil (2). <IMAGE>
