PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a wearing flaw and a crack of a roof side rail in a roof side weather strip by forming a part, receiving press-in action and slide contact action by opening and closing a door, into a recessed part. CONSTITUTION:A roof side weather strip 3, having a holding part 31 for fitting to a drip channel, hollow seal lip formed by a setting part 32 and a swollen part 33 adapted to a roof side and a seal lip 34, is formed into two layers with the swollen part 33 and the seal lip part 34 by sponge rubber of ethylene propylene rubber EPDM and the other by solid rubber of EPDM. Even a slit 4 of length about 20 to 40mm is cut and opened in the setter part 32 in a reverse side of the swollen part 33 with a rear door in its upper edge front angular part coming into slide contact, and placing an injection material 41 of EPDM solid rubber from this slit 4 to be glued to an internal surface of the swollen part 33, pressing it to the setter part 32 with force of an arrow head F by a metal mold and hardening the injection material by vulcanization, a recessed part C is partly formed in the swollen part 33. |
