PURPOSE:To enhance resistance to offset, low temperature fixability, and autochargeability characteristics by using the cross-linked type polyester resin specified in softening point, fluidity at the time of softening, and acid value. CONSTITUTION:The polyester resin for the toner binder is obtained by mixing at least one kind of each of a dicarboxylic acid component C1, a diol component C2, a polyvalent carboxylic acid component C3 higher than trivalent, and a likewise polyvalent diol component C4 higher than trivalent on the molar base so as to satisfy expressions I and II, where R=(C2+C4)/(C1+C3), a=(C3+C4)/(C 1+C3), and P is the reaction rate of the total acid component, thus permitting the obtained toner to be superior in offset resistance, low temperature fixability, and autochargeability characteristics. |
