PURPOSE:To make the audio quality of major information sure and stable by not aborting an audio packet relating to the major information such as a sum signal of stereo signals in the case of packet abort but aborting the audio packet relating to sub information. CONSTITUTION:As the setting method of abort object designation information 402, when signal type information 401 is a sum signal (major audio signal), 'abort disable' is set and when the information indicates a difference signal (sub audio signal), 'abort object' is set. After the setting, an audio packet header processing section forms an audio packet 602 comprising an audio packet header 601 and an audio data 502 incorporating the abort object designation information 402 and transfers the packet network input/output terminal 50 via a packet network interface section 700. Thus, the audio packet is composed/ decomposed by using the audio packet of the difference signal or the sub audio signal as the abort object. Thus, if packet abort due to congestion restriction of the packet network takes place, the deterioration and instability of the audio quality of the sum signal being the major information and the major audio signal are prevented. |
