PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which does not reduce a color density and increase a fog even at the time of allowing a photosensitive material to contact with a formaldehyde gas and has an excellent coloring property at conventional surroundings by specifying the equilibrium pH value of the photosensitive material to >=6.0 and <=7.5. CONSTITUTION:A photographic layer contg. a compd. capable of fixing by being allowed it to react with the formaldehyde gas is mounted on a supporting body. The equilibrium pH value is specified to >=6.0 and <=7.5. The equilibrium pH value is a value measured by using an electrode for measuring pH value on a membrane surface. The photosensitive material comprises at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers of a blue sensitive layer, a green sensitive layer and a red sensitive layer mounted on the supporting body. Thus, the deterioration of the photographic characteristics of the photosensitive material such as the reduction of the color density, and the increase of a color stain and the fog, etc., is prevented. |
