<p>PURPOSE:To make processing operation continuous, reduce energy consumption and keep the strength of processing device low, by pressing continuously the waste thrown into a pressing machine from the inlet to reduce the volume of said waste, heating from the outer periphery of said waste to fuse it and forming a shape-maintaining layer at least near said outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:Plastic waste having a small apparent specific gravity is thrown into a pressing machine 11 from its inlet 1, pressed continuously in said pressing machine comprising a convergent screw 9 and a casing 3 to reduce the volume of said plastic waste and compressed to send to a heating cylinder 14. Then, a frictional force between said waste and the inner wall of said heating cylinder 14 is applied to said waste, and this frictional force is integrated upward from said inlet into a reaction force against the compressive force of said pressing machine 11. Therefore, said waste is half-fused on its outer surface part while it passes through said heating cylinder 14, and then it is taken out from a discharge opening 13, solidified in bar shape even it is released from the compressive force and it does not substantially expand any longer.</p> |
