PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of any code conversion program so as to make code conversion processes easy, by converting the code into different kinds of codes at a high speed by using a code conversion table implemented at the time of code conversion and setting a pair of different kinds of codes which is to be subjected to a conversion process in the conversion table. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of different codes, namely, the 1st kind and 2nd kind codes A1, A2, B1, and B2 which are stored in a file device 1 for storing code and to be subjected to conversion are read out and stored in the 1st memory 3 for temporary storage. The codes A1 and A2 are read out from the memory 3 and prescribed addresses are given to the codes A1 and B2 at an address setting means and code address information C is set in a table address setting means 5. The codes B1 and B2 are read out from the memory 3 and stored in a code conversion table 2. Then the first table address information D of a code input- output controlling means 6 is added to the information C of the setting means 5 and the information C is supplied to the table 2, where the information C is subjected to conversion processes. After conversion, the information C is stored in the 2nd memory 7. |
