摘要 PURPOSE:To lower a wasteful temperature rise in a cage by attaching a distributed liquid crystal glass plate to a windowpane in the observation cage, making this windowpane in the cage transparent during travel, and opaquing the windowpane during stoppage and inspection of an elevator, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a sunlight proof switch 51 installed between AC power sources R and T is turned to ON, a contact 44a of an operation detecting relay (a) being turned on at the time of operation check is comes to ON, and a contact 40b of an inspection detecting relay (b) being turned on at the time of inspection comes to OFF instead. When a no call detection timer 50 is turned to OFF, voltage is impressed on a distributed liquid crystal glass plate 60 in an observation cage, whereby a windowpane becomes transparent. In contrast with this, if the sunlight proof switch 51 is turned to OFF or the operation detecting relay contact 44a is turned to OFF, or the inspection detecting relay (b) contact 40b comes to ON or a contact 50b being turned to ON by the no call detecting timer 50 after the elapse of the specified time comes to ON, no voltage is impressed in the liquid crystal glass 60 so that it is opaqued. With this constitution, a temperature rise in the cage is prevented from occurring.
