PURPOSE:To enhance the stability of maneuverability of a vehicle during cornering operation by controlling the vehicle so that the speed by which the steering angle of rear wheels is changed over from opposite phase to in-phase becomes lower than that in a standard condition upon control of engine output power or upon braking during cornering of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In a torque split type four wheel drive and four wheel steering vehicle, front and rear wheel side propeller shafts extending to rear and front differential gears are coupled together through the intermediary of a hydraulic multi-disc clutch so as to enable torque split control, and there are provided a drive slip controller unit 200 and a four wheel steering controller unit 300. In this arrangement, the four wheel steering controller unit 300 shift the speed at which the rear steering is changed over from an opposite phase steering range to an in-phase steering range to a value lower than a standard steering speed when a slip control is detected in view of outputs from wheel sensors 71RS, 71LS, 81RS, 81LS during control of engine output or during control of engine brake so as to control the steering. |
