PURPOSE:To obtain the title emulsion having high sensitivity, improved in developing property and pressure marks by composing the title emulsion of a silver halide particle which is a normal crystal, and by incorporating the silver halide particle which forms one phase among phases having a high silver iodide content by a halogen substituting method, in the title emulsion. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion comprises the silver halide particle contg. a silver bromide phase or a silver iodobromide phase (shell) which forms the surface of the particle, and at least two phases of high silver iodide content phases. At least one phase of the high silver iodide content phases is formed by the halogen substituting method, and the silver halide particle is composed of a normal crystal particle. Namely, the particle is constituted of a particle structure having three or more phases of different silver halide contents respectively. The particle is composed of the silver halide in which the phase having the max. silver iodide content except the phase formed by the halogen substituting method is outside of the shell of the outermost surface phase. Thus, the emulsion having the improved pressure marks without injuring the sensitivity and the developing property is obtd. |
