PURPOSE:To enhance a recording sensitivity and to improve an adhesion between a coloring material layer and a substrate, by providing an adhesion layer containing an adhesion resin and a dye between the substrate and the coloring material layer. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 supports a coloring material layer 2 containing a dye to be transferred. The coloring material layer 2 is made of at least a dye and a binder. The dye is an ionic dye or dispersing dye containing a color former. A resin used as the binder has preferably a glass transition temperature of 70 deg.C or more. An adhesion layer 3 is at least made of an adhesion resin and a dye. As the dye, all dyes inhibiting the diffusion and migration from the coloring material layer to the adhesion layer can be used without being especially limited, but the same dye as the coloring material layer on the adhesion layer contains is preferably used because of the possibility of diffusing and migrating from the adhesion layer to the coloring material layer. On the other hand, the dye content in the adhesion layer is preferably 30% or more, more preferably 50% or more, of that in the coloring material layer. |
