PURPOSE: To tightly fix lenses on rim grooves of the frame of glasses by forming each rim groove like a polygon having a recessed cross section, engaging a metallic ring having equal width with the peripheral edge of a lens and forming the outer peripheral edge of the ring like a rounded projected shape. CONSTITUTION: The inner peripheral edge 202 of a ring 200 is a recessed triangle and the outer peripheral edge 302 of a lens 300 is a projected triangle to be tightly engaged with the ring 202. Or the inner peripheral edge 204 of the ring 200 is formed as a recessed half circle shape and the outer peripheral edge 304 of the lens 300 is a projected half circle shape. Although the inner peripheral edge 205 is recessed and the outer peripheral edge 305 is projected in the case of a thick lens such as a near-sighted-ness correcting lens, it may available that the inner peripheral edge 205 is projected and the outer peripheral edge 305 is recessed in order to improve strength in consideration of the thickness of the lens 300. Thus the ring 200 is engaged with the peripheral edge of the lens 300 to form a ring-lens combined body and the combined body is engaged with a rim groove 102 so as to come into contact with two or three sectional points. Consequently lenses can simply be fixed on the frame of glasses.
