The starting and warm-running system has an extra supply device (26,30) comprising an extra nozzle (26) in the suction channel (14) and an electro-magnetic extra pump (30) that supplies fuel to the extra nozzle. The extra pump is controlled (58,60) according to the output of the speed detector and the signal indicating that the starter flap is open. The control circuit includes a decision circuit (60) deciding whether the engine is maintaining its own speed without external help.
