<p>PURPOSE: To pick up and retain elements with different shapes from each other exactly, and line them up in order one by one, and assemble them, by forming an element picking-up member movably between an extended position for picking-up and mounting and a shrunk position for retaining and transferring. CONSTITUTION: Picking-up members 13 with different shapes for meeting elements with different shapes are mounted on a turret G, the picking-up member 13 required for a specific element is positioned selectively at the picking-up position by indexing rotation of a turret 6. The picking-up member 13 positioned with a ram 16 lowered is extended from the turret, and an air passage for element suction is communicated with a vacuum source, and the element is adsorbed and retained by the picking-up member 13 which is set at the picking-up position. The picking-up member 13 is shrunk and retreated, and the picking-up member 13 is moved to a prescribed device position together with the turret 6 by a robot 1. The picking-up member 13 is extended from the turret, and the element is mounted on a circuit substrate with its element suction force released.</p> |
