Insolubilised derivs. of penicillin G acylase bacteria (PA) for use as catalysts in various industrial processes, are made by union of two penicillin G acylases (of Escherichia coli and Kluyvera citrophila) through their amino gps. to agarose (aldehyde) carriers, using a combination of all the variables which control multi-interaction of enzyme and carrier to obtain derivs. which retain a high proportion of catalytic activity, more than 1000 times as stable as corresponding soluble enzymes.
