PURPOSE:To smoothen communication between users using different languages by providing the titled device with a function for mechanically translating data to the opposite communication equipment from a 1st language to a 2nd language and adding a function for mechanically translating data from the opposite side from the 2nd language to the 1st language as occasion demands. CONSTITUTION:When a person on the opposite side uses the 2nd language, data inputted by the 1st language is converted into the 2nd language and the converted data is transferred to the opposite side communication equipment, so that inter-terminal communication between communicators respectively using the 1st and 2nd languages can be attained. Even when the data of the 2nd language are transferred from the opposite side, a translating instruction is outputted to the 2nd translation part prepared for translating data from the 2nd language to the 1st language in addition to the translation part (1st translation part) for translating data from the 1st language to the 2nd language and the data of the 2nd languages is translated into the data of the 1st language on the side using the 1st language, so that mutual communication can be similarly attained.
