<p>A lidded, portable chill cask (10) is provided for carrying tinned or bottled beverages, a wine cask bladder or food and has a transistor radio (15) mounted between lid segments (11, 11a), the cask (10) and lid segments (11, 11a) being injection moulded from synthetic polymeric material, a printed circuit board (17) is mounted under the lid segment (11) with electronic facing inwards for protection and in one corner of the lid so that a tuning control (24), combination on/off switch and volume control (25), AM/FM sliding selection switch are accessible from outside the lid (11) when it is closed upon the cask (10); a speaker (21) is mounted under the lid (11) directly below sound wave transmission slots (22) in the lid (11); an AM/FM aerial is incorporated between lid segments and behind polystyrene foam lid insulation.</p> |
