NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (A is Arg or Lys; B is Tyr, Phe, etc.; C is Asn or Gln; m, n and k are 0 or 1; X is Leu, Ala-Leu, group of formula II, etc.; Y is Thr, Thr-Arg, group of formula III, etc.; R<1> is H, alkyl, aryl, acyl, etc.; R<2> is OH, amino, alkyl-substituted amino, etc.). USE:A remedy for cardiopathy, hypertension, thrombosis, etc., and an antitumor agent. PREPARATION:The objective peptide of formula I can be produced e.g. by (1) reacting a p-methylbenzhydrylamine hydrochloride polymer used as an insoluble polymer carrier with an amino group-protected amino acid according to the amino acid sequence of the peptide, (2) removing the protecting group of the amino group, (3) repeating the above operations and (4) treating the resultant peptide polymer with HF to effect the removal of the whole protecting groups and the separation of the peptide from the polymer.
