PURPOSE:To ensure minimum cooling capacity, in a control system for operating/stopping a compressor based on an engine cooling water temperature, by decreasing availability of compressor upon temperature rise of cooling water and suppressing temperature rise of cooling water. CONSTITUTION:Temperature T deg.C of engine cooling water is fed from a water temperature sensor 10 to a water temperature judging section 12 in a control unit 11. The water temperature judging section 12 compares the detected temperature T with compressor stopping temperature Tc1 and a lower setting temperature Tc2. If T is lower than Tc2, a compressor 4 is turned ON, while if T is higher than Tc1, the compressor 4 is turned OFF and if T is between Tc1 and Tc2, the compressor 4 is turned ON, OFF respectively through normal ON control section 13, normal OFF control section 14 and ON-OFF control section 15. When ON-OFF control is made, duty ratio is varied to lower availability of the compressor 4 so as to suppress temperature rise of cooling water. Consequently, minimum cooling capacity can be ensured. |
