PURPOSE:To improve the fragility of ceramic and improve the mechanical characteristic by applying a covering around a grooved spacer storing the superconductor ceramic in the groove. CONSTITUTION:A tape-shaped superconductor ceramic 3 is stored in a spirally grooved spacer 1, and a covering 4 is applied around the spirally grooved spacer 1. One or multiple sheets of the tape-shaped superconductor ceramic 3 may be stored in one groove 2. The tape-shaped superconductor ceramic 3 with the thickness of about tens mm - 1mm and the width of about hundreds mum - several mm is used, for example. The ceramic material 3 as the superconducting material is protected from the external force, the problem of fragility is improved, and a superconductive cable excellent in mechanical characteristic can be realized.
