PURPOSE:To enable fitting of a jig without cutting off end removing canvas of the surface of a cog part, by a method wherein a metallic filler member is inserted into an appropriate position of a recessed line part for molding the cog part of an inner mold, the canvas and a tensile strength body are wound round the outside of the inner mold and them a cylindrical original mold for molding a belt is obtained through a normal method. CONSTITUTION:A metallic filler member 3 fitting in a recessed line part is inserted into an appropriate position of the recessed line part 2A for molding in cog part of an inner mold 2 for molding a, cogged belt 1 for conveyance. Canvas 4, a tensile strength body 5 and unvulcanized rubber 6 for surface coating are wound round the outside of the inner mold 2, which is fitted to an outer mold 7 and a cylindrical original mold for molding the belt is obtained through a normal method. The same is made into a cogged belt by cutting the same into round slices. A surface canvas layer is continued serially at a cogless part, in the obtained cogged belt 1 and it is not feared that strength is deteriorated even if a jig B is fitted to the part. The title method can be carried into effect easily by making use of the existing equipment. A filling member made of aluminum is preferable as the metallic filler member 3.
