The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the alignment of two rails 6, 7 of a first line of rails 3, in particular prior to their end-to-end assembly, with reference to a second line of rails 1 parallel to the first line 3. The device comprises two tie rods 14, 15, each of which has a longitudinal direction 16, 17 intended to be oriented perpendicular to the two lines of rails 1, 3; at their transverse ends 18, 19, 20, 21, the two tie rods 14 and 15 are fitted with respective longitudinal gripping members 24, 25, 26, 27, respectively for a rail of the first line 3 and for a rail of the second line 1; on each tie rod 14, 15, means 60 are provided for adjusting as desired the mutual longitudinal separation of the gripping members 24, 25, 26, 27, and at least one of these members 26, 27, intended for gripping a rail 6, 7 of the first line 3, comprises means 76, 77, 78, 83, 86, 88, 90 for adjusting the cant of this rail. Being in a form which can be transported easily and can be used in conjunction with other devices, the device according to the invention allows precise regulation of the alignment of two rails. <IMAGE>
