PURPOSE:To produce slurry of fine inactive inorganic powder to be compounded in polyester in a glycol solvent by dispersing grains of the raw materials uniformly to fine particle size so small as the particle size of the primary particles by disintegrating the slurry under specified conditions in the presence of a P compd. and particles of a specified inorg. oxide, etc., CONSTITUTION:Slurry of inactive inorg. particles A in a glycol solvent is treated under a condition satisfying the relation expressed by the inequality III in the presence of a P compd., particles B comprising the inorg. oxide and/or inorg. compound oxide satisfying the relation expressed by the inequalities I and II. Then the particles B are removed, thus slurry of inactive inorg. powder having <=5mum mean primary particle size and dispersed in a glycol solvent to be used for compounding in polyester is prepd. In the inequalities, A(A) and A(B) are mean projected sectional area (mum<2>) of particles A, B; H(A), H(B) are Mohs' hardnesses of particles A, B; D(B) is specific gravity (g/ml) of the particle B; V is a peripheral velocity (m/sec) of a stirring blade.
