PURPOSE:To obtain a drug readily showing antismoking effects by making an inveterate smoker wanting to obtain from of smoking take the drug, by blending the drug with a substance having astringency and/or bitterness. CONSTITUTION:A drug is blended with a substance (e.g. mainly tannin-containing fruit body of walnut, oak, Japanese beech, etc.) and/or substance having bitterness (e.g. berberine contained in Phellodendri cortex, Coptidis Rhizoma, etc.) and pharmaceutically manufactured into the aimed substance. The amount of the substance contained in the drug is an amount larger than the amount to perceive astringency and/or bitterness when the drug is diluted with water by a factor of at least 100 times. The drug can be prepared into dosage form such as powder, granule, pill, tablet, solution, wine, troche, gum, etc. |
