Retaining device for a lamp holder, which is to be mounted at a light housing and preferably for single-ended discharge lamps, with a U-shaped bracket (3) for fastening at the light housing (1) with a respective bearing bore (3c/3d) in both its limbs (3a/3b), wherein the lamp holder is retained to be pivotable between the limbs (3a/3b) and arrestable under spring loading in two settings marked by abutments (8a/7a), characterised thereby, that at least one limb is provided with an open slot (3e) starting out from its bearing bore (3c) and the actual lamp holder (5) displays a plate (4), which is provided at both sides with flat spigots (4a/4b) at the circumference and is in its turn pushed by way of the slot (3e) into the bearing bores (3c, 3d). |
