PURPOSE:To move a moving body easily at a high speed and increase the reliability of a piezoelectric actuator, by changing the amplitude ratio, phase or frequency ratio of a driving voltage for driving a piezoelectric oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of piezoelectric oscillators 2 are fixed lengthwisely to the driving body 1 of a square pillar while one piece of the piezoelectric oscillator 3 is fixed to the end face of the driving body 1. The driving signal of V0sinomegat is impressed on the group of piezoelectric oscillators 2 while the driving signal of V0cosomegat, which is different in the phase thereof from said groups, is impressed on the piezoelectric oscillator 3 on the end face. A point, corresponding to the point of intersection of the central axis of both of the oscillators 2, 3, effects a circular motion since the vibrations are synthesized. When a moving body 4 is pressed against and contacted with the surface of the moving driving body 1, the moving body 4 advances while receiving a transversal force at the crest of the circular motion of the moving body and being stopped at the trough of the same motion whereby an intermittent motion, advancing to an arrow sign direction in a diagram, may be obtained. |
