PURPOSE:To make unit air conditioning for each room possible by a method wherein an outdoor heat exchanger for unit air conditioning system is installed in the main body of an outdoor air conditioner for central type air conditioning system and each room is cooled or heated by an outdoor blower for central type air conditioning system. CONSTITUTION:When a unit air conditioning is desired to be carried out, only a room 29 for instance to be air conditioned is in operation, an individual air conditioner 36 is to be operated among unit air conditioners 35, 36, 37... installed in each room 28, 29, 30 to be air conditioned. In the conditioner 36 installed in the room 29 a unit type compressor 38 and a unit type indoor heat exchanger 39 are equipped and they are connected to a unit type outdoor heat exchanger 40 installed in a central type air conditioner mainbody 21 by a refrigerating piping 41 and a unit type refrigerating cycle is formed. In the mainbody of the conditioner 36 and unit type indoor blower 43 is equipped and the air for the room 29 is introduced from a ventilation port 24 and the air cooled (or heated) by a unit indoor heat exchanger 39 is to be discharged from the upper room air supply port 27.
