PURPOSE:To improve operability judging feasibility to accept an input from a keyboard in an electronic equipment, and to surely hold the security of a file, by providing a means which discriminates the code of a password code, and the means which prohibits access after the lapse of a prescribed time after no input is performed, on the electronic equipment other than a keyboard input means. CONSTITUTION:By applying a power source 8, a CPU5 is initialized, however, no input from a keyboard 7 can be accepted. Next, when the password code is inputted to a key panel 1, a control part 4 accumulates an input data in the work area 22 of a memory 2. When an inputted password code coincides with the personal identification code registered in the area 21 of the memory 2, a state goes to an operation possible state which accepts the input from the keyboard 7. Simultaneously, a timer control part 6 starts a timer 52. When no input is obtained from the keyboard 7 for a prescribed period, the state is returned to an operation impossible state.
