PURPOSE:To obtain stable fixability and offset characteristic by dissolving high mol.wt. resin particle at a specific ratio into a monomer and dispersing a coloring agent into the soln. to prepare the soln. having the uniform compsn., then suspending such soln. into water and polymerizing the resin in the presence of a radical initiator. CONSTITUTION:The soln. having the uniform compsn. is prepd. by dissolving the high mol.wt. resin particle obtd. by emulsion polymn. of the radical- polymerizable monomer having the characteristic that the formed polymer dissolves in the monomer at the specified ratio into the monomer and dispersing the coloring agent therein. Such soln. is suspended in the water and the monomer in the suspended particles is polymerized in the presence of the radical initiator. The monomer to be used is the radical-polymerizable monomer with which the formed polymer has the fixability and voltage detecting characteristic required for the toner and is a monovinyl arom. monomer or combinations of said monomer and acrylic monomer, vinyl ester monomer, mono-olefin monomer, etc. The always stable fixability and offset characteristic are thereby obtd. |
