PURPOSE:To enhance aroma of the highest-quality tea and obtain a tea drink, e.g. green tea of high value as a tasty food, etc., by adding a thermal decomposition product of specific carotene, e.g. palm carotene, etc. CONSTITUTION:Carotene at 25-45:75-55 weight ratio of the alpha-carotene to the beta-carotene and 60-80:40-20 weight ratio of the trans-isomer to the cis- isomer, e.g. thermal decomposition product obtained by thermally decomposing palm carotene concentrated from palm oil under condition of 90-150 deg.C temperature and 20-40mmHg pressure, in an amount of normally about 1-10ppm based on the total tea drink added to an optional tea drink, e.g. product green tea, tea bag, instant tea, etc. |
