Apparatus for rolling U-shaped steel sections comprises an upper roller 1 and a lower roller 2. The upper roller includes an interior section 10 corresponding to the outer contour of a U-beam, and an exterior section 11 forming a centering guide that has a funnel- shaped cross section for the outer edges of a slug O. The lower roller has a projection 21 which corresponds to the inner contour of the U-beam and is adapted to leave the side ends of the U-beam open. The steel slug O is a flat sheet with two spaced triangular projections A, and it is centered against exterior sections 11 and is progressively bent during a single pass between the rollers whereby the parts of the slug on either side of the projections A form flanges, and the part between the projections from the web of the U-shaped steel section. <IMAGE> |
